My Story

Sherri's academic journey began with her graduation from the Nursing Program at Algonquin College in 1989, followed by a Bachelor of Nursing Sciences from Laurentian University in 1992. She further advanced her qualifications by completing the Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Ottawa in 2009.​

As an educator, Sherri has imparted her knowledge in nursing clinical labs and pediatrics for the Registered Practical Nursing Program at Algonquin College. She has also served as a preceptor for the University of Ottawa's Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner Program and has collaborated in teaching the Critical Care Program in various settings.​

With over 34 years of nursing experience, Sherri has spent the last 14 years as a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner in family practice, treating patients of all ages. Her extensive background spans General Medicine, Surgery, Dermatology, and Critical Care. As a Nurse Practitioner, she has worked in diverse family practice environments, including serving Indigenous communities in Northern Ontario and Nunavut.
